  • Context Questions
    • What type of planes do you fly?
    • Usually what is the distance that you like to cover in a single flight?
    • For how long have you been a pilot?
    • What is it about the navigation logs that you like or dislike?
  • Introducing the prototype
    • So we some prototypes, they are meant to assist the pilots while planning the , would you be willing to have a look at it?
  • Tasks
    • Sign Up for the app with the provided details (assuming we would provide pseudo email/password for testing purposes)
    • Go to the home page.
    •  Enter your destination details.
    • Find the details for the flight with respect to the destination you just inserted.
  • Debrief
    • Compared to the way you fill in the logs, how does this method stand?
    • Could you tell us which part of the app you liked and disliked?
    • How would you describe this product to your fellow pilots?
    • What aspects of the app would need some improvements ?

  1. Hmm, you need to flesh out your introduction to your prototype more – tell the user what the prototype is trying to achieve, or at least who the target audience is.

    Your tasks don’t really work. The first one is asking for an opinion, which would be better in a survey than a moderated test. The second should be stated ‘go to the home page’ (assuming they aren’t already on it). The third should be more specific ‘add your flight destination’. The fourth isn’t a task.

    Debrief questions are good.
